2023 PRANK OF THE YEAR: CANDY CRUSH SAGA 
Even video games can go through a goth phase. Everyone and their mother's favorite addiction Candy Crush Saga unveiled a new black and white interface that they're calling their "Goth Era." Although the update isn't real, the laughs were real when the game shared a video to their social media complete with sour candy tiles and a new level called "Menacing Mountain." Kudos to Candy Crush for showing their true colors! Or rather, lack of colors.

2022 PRANK OF THE YEAR: JLab 
The more innovative headphones get, the more subtle they become. The next phase of this evolution is Invisibuds, a new line of invisible earbuds released by audio company JLab. And while this technological breakthrough may not be real, it's still a prank-oligcal breakthrough, with JLab announcing the product in a hilarious video boasting the earbuds ability to connect to over 100 different devices and automatically skip over what it deems "trash music." The company even went as far as to create a fake product page on their website complete with photos of earbud-shaped shadows against an otherwise blank canvas. Congrats JLab! In the land of tomfoolery, you're the law of the land.

In the past, we we're promised flying cars in the future. Well, it's the future now, and we've got nothing. We're willing to give science a pass on that failure @lego can make this innovation a reality.
